These rugs are knotted by hand in the small town of Kashmar, in northeastern Persia, well known for the high quality of their carpets. They are famous for their exclusive Zirhaki motif, quite unusual today. They are usually made only in large size and, in some cases, they remind us of the classic Kashan rugs, with their medallions and their particular corners.
